Born and raised in Portland Oregon, Jeremy Furnish is a multi-medium visual artist and designer currently living and working in the Columbia River Estuary of Northwest Oregon. Jeremy began his creative stride as a child, coloring outside of the lines and finger painting the dog. Throughout his childhood, Jeremy took advantage of creative opportunity. He took habit to learning diverse creative methods which paved a way for him to express himself through a broad range of materials and techniques.
As a young adult, Jeremy joined the workforce where he continued to search out opportunities for personal creative growth. Such opportunities granted him proficiencies in metals, which he has used as creative foundation for nearly two decades. In that time, he has developed a habit to explore opportunities to learn new methods and techniques while at the same time, drawing inspiration from experiences as a adolescent.
Today, Jeremy works primarily by commission with a current goal of a larger gallery presence. He is currently proposing and creating works in metals, glass, clay, and wood with an emphasis on design, finishes, lighting, kinetics, and works available to the public.
